Digilog's Network Access and Monitoring System (NAMS) is a vendor-independent network Test Access System featuring centralized fault management of multi-location networks. The primary focus of NAMS is to provide Fault Management through its automated access functionality and integrated test instrumentation.

The NAMS system software operates under an OpenVMS, X-Windows, or HP OpenView PC platform. NAMS is a mature, graphical, user-friendly application, allowing quick access to network anomalies.

The "fail-safe" NSS II hardware design establishes connectivity to the network. It provides proactive alarm notification of link failure or degradation, real-time integrated protocol analysis, automated activation of spare devices or facilities upon failure detection, and integrated testing functions, to accurately pin-point defective network elements.

Deployment of Digilog's products provides a centrally-controlled system capable of overlaying any network, thus affording network managers the means of implementing a strategy for effective network maintenance and monitoring.
